The Angel Foundation for Learning (AFL) is a charity organization under the Toronto Catholic School Board (TCDSB). The AFL ensures that all students across the TCDSB have access to educational resources despite financial barriers. With the help of compassionate donors, the AFL is able to provide students with resources such as Student Nutrition Programs, AFL Bursaries and Awards, and much more!
Established in 1987, the Angel Foundation—previously known as the Metropolitan Toronto Catholic Education Foundation (MTCEF)—has provided and continues to provide TCDSB students with resources to help engage them in their education, assisting students in receiving the best quality education possible amidst financial adversity.
The AFL is also in charge of the A-Team Believe Initiative Program, which enables high school students from all over the TCDSB to collaborate on projects that help the community around them. The program allows students to combine a passion they have with a greater need in their community. A-Teams are able to create an initiative that solves the problem whilst also incorporating an element of their own interests, helping to strengthen teamwork and innovation amongst students. The program showcases the power of young minds by highlighting the impact and potential that the youth of our generation hold, especially when given the opportunity and resources to make a difference.
