Welcome to the WACT department – that is the Ward Art and Communication Technology Department! 

We have a ton of exciting courses here for you to take! We have top of the line software such as the entire Adobe CC suite and a computer lab with 55 Apple iMacs.

Annually, we have our famous art show – where the art and communications department is magically transformed into the gallery space for all of the students’ works. 

Within our department we are also home to the amazing Mary Ward Planet - our student run award winning newspaper, the Yearbook Club and Photo Club!  If you are interested in participating in any of these be sure to check them out!

Students enrolled in these classes also get to have the opportunity to learn outside of the classroom while venturing on many of the trips we offer. Trips include visits to many galleries, the graphic arts and photography department of the Toronto Star, the World Press Photography Exhibit, iMax Films at the Science Centre, National Film Board of Canada, Hot Docs Film Fetival, Reel Asian Film Festival, TIFF and many more!
