Joining FCCLA has nothing, but rewarding benefits. It is a chance for preparedness. Yes, it prepares you for college, but not in an essay formatted way. It prepares your character. It expands your knowledge. FCCLA is a club that prepares you to face conflict and strive on failure and successes. What a club to take part in. One that focuses on community, careers, and family.
When one joins FCCLA they will note that almost everything that they have learned in FACS will be used in the club. In FACS, all students will learn to cook, sew, speak, plan for the future, and plan for hardships. Every single topic listed is used for FCCLA star events and will continue to be used in everyday life. With a FACS class (Family and Consumer Science) and FCCLA, many can strive for excellence and exceed all expectations.

FCCLA gives an opportunity to all. So much knowledge comes with participating in such a fun and friendly organization. When you take part in FCCLA then you can see that it connects you with the outside world. This organization will help you grow and succeed in life. It helps you grow in your career and family.
This club and the FACS class provide guidance in one's everyday career. It prepares you for how to speak in front of others and how to understand complex problems. The FACS classroom and FCCLA correlate together by giving you real-world situations and teaching you how to overcome them. It is crucial for teens to learn these skills and when they become a part of the FCCLA community, they get the chance to learn them.
Not only do the FACS classes or FCCLA benefit career traits, but it also allows you to develop home skills. You will be taught sewing, cooking, and other basic skills that everyone needs to know. It helps one become more aware of home safety and how to adequatey raise a family financially and emotionally.
These skills are not just for one certain group. All need to learn these skills because they will be used one day in their lives. That is why FACS and FCCLA are so important to every single student.

They are both a chance for you to make your mark and learn more about your character. This club represents and teaches leadership, confidence, accountability, and so much more. All these traits will follow you in college and help you grow in your career. Eventually, they will leak into your family and the way that you teach your family. FACS and FCCLA are extremely rewarding, not just now in high school, but also in your everyday life as well as your future. "
