Lincoln Elementary school is located in the small rural town of Lincoln, Alabama, directly off Interstate 20 between Birmingham, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia. The population of Lincoln has grown over the last ten years from approximately 3,000 to over 6,524. This is due to the opening of the Honda Plant and related businesses. Due to the increase of population, Lincoln Elementary broke ground for a new school in August 1999 and in August 2001 the doors opened to an exciting "themed" school reflecting the community in which we live. Situated approximately three miles from the Talladega Super Speedway, racing is very evident in our school's décor.

Since the school's establishment in 1925, there have been many educational changes. We are AdvancEd accredited, serve as an ARI and AMSTI Model School and have achieved Lighthouse School status through the Leader in Me Initiative. We recently received a 2016 Let's Move Active School National Award for outstanding work and leadership in the areas of Physical Education and increased physical activity. The size of the student body is 806. The demographic make-up of the student body is 74% white, 23% black, and 3% other. The percent of students on free and reduced lunch is 62%.

Lincoln Elementary is a five building campus all connected with inter-hallways, which makes a great safety feature. Our entry building has administrative offices, counseling, nurse, PE and Lunchroom. Our foyer leads to three wings for our K-1, 2-3, and 4-5 classrooms. Our media center is an additional new wing that opened in 2011. A new wing of an additional six classrooms connects to our 2nd & 3rd grade wing. The wing extension houses four additional third grade classes, art and music. Lincoln consists of 75 faculty and staff members: two administrators, one and 1/2 guidance counselor, two full time on site school nurses, one media specialist, one instructional partner/reading specialist, one technology integration specialist/DLP coach, one speech-language pathologist, two PE teachers, one music teacher, one art teacher, four special needs teachers, one gifted teacher, 39 certified classroom teachers, three reading interventionists and four special education assistants, two office support personnel, three custodians and six CNP workers. 100% of certified teachers are highly qualified.
