How can you help children overcome adversity, be more resilient and learn skills they need both now and later? How do you rebuild personal connection after experiencing disconnection? How do you help your children thrive through a pandemic? Dr. Borba explains why resilience, social emotional skills and especially empathy are more important than ever. Empathy is anything but soft and fluffy – it is an essential trait for our brave new world. Developing empathy must be put front and center on our parenting and educational agendas. The key for the future is a re-set on humanity and relationships, and understanding that empathy is a verb and empathy can be cultivated.
