I believe that education opens doors. Not only can a well-rounded education prepare a student for a fruitful future, but learning in childhood is a precious experience that deserves an acute attention all its own.
I believe that education opens doors. Not only can a well-rounded education prepare a student for a fruitful future, but learning in childhood is a precious experience that deserves an acute attention all its own.
Reading ability has a demonstrated generational impact on families, and I believe that self-expression through writing is one of life's greatest gifts. Mathematical understanding enhances the way we interact with our world and also encourages abstract thinking. All of these concepts are an important part of holistic learning, and it is my philosophy that every student I work with will leave our classroom with an amplified understanding of our learning goals. I work hard preparing and delivering my lessons, and I expect my students to work hard as well. Together, we can achieve amazing things!

I love seeing my students come to new conslusions and discover previously unknown worlds through the work we do together! I work with a range of students with a variety of aspirations: those who dream of being scientists and those who dream of being artists; those who love sports and those who write music or paint. Whatever their ultimate goals are, the inclusion of different perspectives and worlds through literature and math remains a safe haven for them. The ability to study, conduct deep research, write, and compute effectively serves them for a lifetime.

To become a master reader, writer, mathematician, and researcher, one must employ all of their critical thinking faculties. They must encounter and use new vocabulary and grammar appropriately, then learn how some rules are meant to be broken in appropriate contexts (such as poetry).

Basic algebra is the foundation for all advanced math and science, including physics and the study of how our world works. Math can be the basis for great inventions or new theories on the meaning of life. Ultimately, we study together to create building blocks for success as a well-rounded individual, creating consistent practices of effective critical thought and communication.

I have watched them celebrate milestones like birthdays, graduations, and other accomplishments. I enjoy building a personal connection with my students and creating a safe space for learning, where they feel comfortable to ask questions and follow their imaginations. Together, we take steps, leaps, and giant bounds toward their dreams, goals, and desires as a learner.

I am also happy to accomodate those students who need extra support and I welcome diversity of all kinds, including neurodiversity and ADA accomodations as needed.
