Disadvantaged students are those who have hindrances to excelling in school because of detrimental circumstances beyond their control. These include financial and social hardships as well as problems within students' families.
According to New York State Education Department, economically disadvantaged students are those who participate in, or whose family participates in, economic assistance programs, such as the free or reduced-price lunch programs, Social Security Insurance (SSI), Food Stamps, Foster Care, Refugee Assistance (cash or medical assistance), Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), Safety Net Assistance (SNA), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), or Family Assistance: Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

New technologies, such as Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), have the potential to extend human ability and working opportunities. Yet, these new technologies are hard to understand, resulting them as the black box hiding in the corner - "oh, I have heard of it, but I don't know what it is".

For Blockchain, it can be divided into few types and two of them are public blockchain and private blockchain. Public Blockchains, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, allow everyone to read or send transactions and it is verified by cryptography without third party engagement. Private Blockchain usually is own by one organization which has the right to give permission to anyone for accessing their private blockchain.
For A.I., people can hardly differentiate limited memory A.I., such as self-driving cars and Apple Siri, and reactive machines A.I., such as Deep Blue.

Community-based learning base on culturally-relevant pedagogy to integrate students' learning with community engagement. This work is based on reciprocal and mutually beneficial partnerships between instructors, students, and community groups. Transparency: Blockchain offers completed transparency. Users in the blockchain network have accesses to the ledger and rules, which help them to see who owned, paid, gave or did what, at various points of time.
Security: All users in the blockchain network have copies of the ledger for validating the latest version. it’s a democratically secured system, too. There’s no single company or agency with extra power. Everyone is in charge.
