TC Educator Resources

I need help with...

Sharing files, creating assignments or discussions

Canvas is the central place to share information with your students. Learn about ways you can add resources and activities in Canvas, as well as best practices for organizing your course.

Conducting class sessions online

Zoom is TC's video conferencing tool. It can be used to host your classes online. Your can meet with your students and lead discussions, break students up into groups, or even have students lead presentations.

Recording lecturing videos or my voice over slides

If you are able to prepare your lecture materials in advance, this is certainly a viable alternative to lecturing live via Zoom. Recorded lectures can be really helpful to students because they can watch and rewind the lectures at their own pace.

Teaching and facilitating effective online learning

It's not just about the technology. How do you engage with students from a distance? How do you facilitate meaningful discussions? How do you create an online learning experience that is engaging and effective?
