Reflection #8
Innovation Inquiry
Reflect on how you went during your inquiry. What did you learn?
What were some of the challenges of innovating?
Explain how you worked toward your goals and how it helped your learning. What worked? What didn’t? What would you do differently next time?
Write your reflection here...
My eighth Inquiry went ok I think this was because my innovation needed a better material then cardboard, such as metal, and electrical wires and propellers, which would have costed a bit of money.
The Innovation Inquiry was really useful as it taught me how to develop and make a product, it also taught me the whole process of making a product that can be used.
I think my innovation was because of all the recent headlines of war, and videos of innocent people being hurt, and I wanted to help make something that goes against those things.
The biggest challenge of innovating for me was coming up with an idea, because I didn't really know something that wasn't already made, or I didn't lnow how to make an existing thing better.
One of my goals was to For kaitiaki I would like to help others more so I can guide them to a better academic journey
by working on this goal it helped me to improve my learning because it taught me how to help/work with people I've never talked to, and ask for help with my inquiry.
The goal I did the best with was For kaitiaki I would like to help others more so I can guide them to a better academic journey the reason it went so well was because their was plenty of opportunity to help others with their work, I helped ege with his prototype, and Jason with how his prototype functioned.
I was a bit frustrated with how one goal went, Mentally I want to get better at focusing in class
because it was difficult to focus with everyone cutting, ripping up cardboard, the sound of cellotape being stripped everywhere, and because we were doing a physical activity everyone was talking and it was difficult to hear myself think.
Next time I will move to a seperate area, ask for headphones or move to a activity not so difficult to concentrate on, possibly making my prototype or testing it, or practicing presenting it.
Evidence of Term 2 goals being met.
Copy and paste all relevant evidence in the form of screenshots or written explanations of what was done to achieve your 4 goals for Term 2.
e.g. Test results, teacher feedback, parent feedback, peer feedback, your own explantion of things you did etc.
For my last inquiry I managed to get the entire thing done, because I managed my work time efficiently.
2. I also managed to get my inquiry done through listening and taking notes in class better.
3. I also focused well in class which is why I was able to complete.
4. I also helped others with their learning, Veerjit with his maths, Ege with his prototype and my team with their entire plan for our innovation. (I wasn't there on the second day)
