1. What is the food, water, energy nexus? Explain what it is prior to watching the video below then add to your notes.
2. If you can, work with two other students on this and select one of the following to build a "Security Nexus".
• national water security, including access to safe water
• national food security, including food availability
• national energy security, including energy pathways and geopolitical issues
You need to make notes on:
the availability of your resource (you can check back to last lesson for information on water and energy - food will require further research)
what is meant by the security of your resource
the factors affecting the security and availability and examples. e.g. oil in Saudi Arabia, water in Uzbekistan.
3. Now make connections between the three aspects of the "security nexus".
