Mask Wearing in Term 3 from August 22nd 2022
Ngā mihi nui, thank you, to all of you who have followed the mask wearing policy at TRS over the last few weeks. Last time I wrote about mask wearing at kura, school, I said that the board would be reviewing the policy in week 4. This review was conducted at the board hui on Wednesday and the protocol updated. The new protocol is
Mask wearing is strongly recommended for all children when inside.
For kaiako, teachers, it will remain compulsory inside.
This decision was based upon a number of factors including the lower rolling average of community cases and the higher risk of adult to adult and adult to child infection. The new protocol comes into force on Monday August 22nd. The board, as ever, will respond to any changing circumstances and again review this protocol if necessary.
