Ginger is a widely cultivated crop with significant economic and medical value in Malaysia. However, the ginger cultivation is threatened by various leaf diseases, which affecting the yield and crop quality. To support advancements in plant disease detection and precision agriculture, we introduce a ginger leaf disease dataset designed specifically for research and development in computer vision that aids in detecting ginger plant disease.

Our dataset contains 10,910 high-quality images of ginger leaves collected with 4 classes that has been performed data augmentation to ensure class balance. The 4 classes of these ginger leaves included:
Healthy
Leaf Blight
Dehydrated
Pest Damage
Examples of images from the ginger leaf dataset.
The dataset aims to fill a critical gap in publicly available resources for ginger leaves data, enabling researchers to develop and evaluate robust deep learning models for early ginger disease detection.
