This video goes over the basic styles....
Proper head is extremely important to how we server our beer. Here are the reasons why we serve beer the way we do.
1. Aromatics / Taste: A good size head helps to release the aroma of the beer, (hop oils, esters, yeast spices, etc.). A beer with no head will not taste as good as a beer with a healthy head as our sense of smell is an important part of how and what we taste. 2. Freshness / Proper carbonation: Proper head shows freshness whereas a beer with no head may be old and/or flat. Note this is not always the case, some beer styles have lower carbonation. 3. Clean glassware: It shows that our glassware is clean w/out soapy residue, which will kill the head on any beer. 4. It's a sign of a well-kept draft system. A balanced draft system will preserve the carbonation of the beer, while a un-balanced draft system will lose carbonation over time. It also is a sign of proper serving temperature as beer that is too cold is difficult to produce head. 5. It helps you carry the beer without it spilling.
Grab a printed draft list and review it.
We rotate beers regularly. We carry only the highest quality fresest beers available. Due to our volume, status as a leading beer bar, and longstanding relationships, we have access to some very limited beers, which you will see on tap from time to time. We are extremely picky about what purchase. This list is always changing and it is extremely important to be aware of what beers we are out of and what new beers are on. (Hint: The ET will list any changes to the lineup)
Pick up a bottle list and review it. We carry some of the best and rarest bottles across the globe!
Many Guests enjoy ordering flights as a way to sample a variety of beer styles. Customers can order from 1 to 4 tasters per flight. Our taster glasses are 5oz each. This is a great way to try something new and enjoy multiple beers. Pro tip: Guests that order flights leave a bigger tip!
