How can you make the world a better place?! Join thousands of students taking action for Better World Day by creating videos, paintings, sidewalk chalk creations, letters, and cards of appreciation for those who are demonstrating courage and kindness by helping others in this difficult time—and posting them on social media with #BetterWorldDay. Follow hashtag #BetterWorldDay here and across social media to see students in action in communities around the country.
To celebrate Better World Day this Friday, May 1st, many of us will be placing blue hearts in our windows, on our doors, on a sign on our front lawn, or any other creative place that we can to honor our brave and amazing health care workers. If you are able to get a photo of your child's blue heart, or a very short video clip of your child holding up the blue heart and thanking someone, then please send it to me by Thursday morning.
In addition, the Tapestry staff will be driving through the K-5 lot on Friday between 9am and 11am to thank our food service staff. If you want to take a quick drive through with a sign or some words of encouragement, we'd love to have you swing by. You can also bring a painted rock in a ziploc back to leave for our rock garden.
THANK YOU <3
Use this slideshow to revisit this crew lesson on our strengths and weaknesses! Our Buffalos did an excellent job thinking about things they are good at and things that they are still working on. Some of our friends shared that their strength is their artistic ability and their ability to show P.I.R.R. When we identified our weaknesses we remembered that these are just areas where we are still growing.
Have a great weekend, Buffalos!
