National Honor Society for Women’s and Gender Studies Epsilon Epsilon Chapter
Triota (Iota Iota Iota) is a national academic and service-based Women’s and Gender Studies honor society. The Greek letter, Iota, was selected to represent the three goddesses Inanna, Ishtar, and Isis. Triota strives to maintain the feminist values to encourage diversity, egalitarianism, and a supportive academic environments for all students.
Triota members meet approximately once a month to discuss contemporary events and issues pertaining to WGST majors and minors. Meetings are open to non-members (all WGST students are invited to come).
Triota members have the right to wear signature (lilac and white) Triota honor cords and/or membership pins at graduation, if they choose to do so. Honor cords and pins will be supplied to all members by the WGST Program.
