It is no secret the hottest and most modern technology on the block is Generative AI. While this program brings close to unlimited knowledge and great intelligence, many wonder how this technology can be used to maximize education as a whole. Doing this while also remaining within the lines of academic honesty is crucial. The goal is not to have AI complete one's assignments or work, but to help the student understand the information, create study material, spark creativity, format presentations, and benefit the student in many other ways. The educator may use it to maximize the ability to express material to the students as effectively as possible.  Although there are numerous Generative AI's all with unique features, one that sticks out in regard to education is Gamma AI. The sources here emphasize the numerous aspects of how to utilize Gamma AI in order to achieve academic success including time efficiency, engaging content, and ensuring that the information used is ethical and cited properly to avoid plagiarism. 

A major problem for many students that hinders their academic success is usage of time. Gamma tackles this head-on by being extremely time efficient, being a platform that "can create engaging multimedia presentations in just a few minutes, leaving more time for the parts of their roles that truly need a human touch," (Schindelka). Although this passage focuses on the educators' side, Gamma can help student save time while creating a presentation as well. This enables time to be spent on other portions of presentations, rather than just the organizing and structure of it. A more direct way students may benefit from Gamma is using it to create practice tests and reviews. Instead of spending a significant amount of time creating a practice exam, the student may benefit from using that time to study more while Gamma creates it in seconds. 

Exams are far from the only thing Gamma can create however, as it is a helpful tool that provides the ability to produce presentations that are visually appealing and captivating. The organization and structure of presentations are vital in order for the student's project to stand out and be visually engaging, allowing them to achieve success within the classroom. Gamma can allow specific editing of presentation to allow students to "use the AI tool to generate a slideshow that compliments their foundational ideas to further enhance their panel presentation or meeting to target a diversified audience" (Echavez). Gamma allows users to specifically input who their audience is in order to tailor the presentation for students' specific needs. With the use of this generative AI tool Gamma, students can produce a presentation with just a few words that is very detailed and eye-catching. This tool can help any student take their own work to the next level and make a professional display that will leave a lasting impression. 

However, in order to use generative AI in an academic setting, it is crucial that proper citations are made in order to avoid plagiarism, and that students supplement the generated content with their own voices and ideas. Unfortunately, in academic fields, an ethical concern that is often seen in students is an excessive reliance on Gamma to complete work. Some argue that when some students do use AI, "it is unfair to the students who don’t cheat, and it undermines the education and learning process for those who do cheat, "however, this can be avoided if Gamma is used as a supplemental tool fueling academic success, rather than a shortcut to do all of the work for the student (Office of Communications, College of Education). It is important that students rely on their own voices and implement original ideas into their content, utilizing Gamma as a tool to help with construction and organization, rather than to do their thinking for them. Another issue that the use of generative AI opens the doors to is plagiarism and misinformation. This research shows that using a tool to generate a presentation does not make the information common knowledge, and the information needs to be properly cited. Furthermore, in order to ensure academic success, it is apparent that fact checking of information needs to be performed, and proper reliable sources need to be used. This research was done so that students can utilize Gamma in a way that ensures academic success, emphasizing time efficiency, showcasing what tools gamma offers, and warning of reliance on Ai and plagiarism in the classroom.

Academic success is more than turning in an assignment on time, it is a conglomeration of scholarly sources, proper citation, engaging content, and high-quality work. If students abide by the guidelines this research has created, then they are certain to find success on their academic journey. When Gamma is supplemented by well-done research and meticulous attention to editing, it can help the students to create stunning presentations that would guarantee academic success. Use Gamma as a tool to enhance your own knowledge and hard work, and academic success will follow.
