2025 Presidential Inauguration
2025 Presidential Inauguration
In 2024, several Savages were handpicked to join the Fish Drill Team's newly established Lazarus block. This exclusive block brought together only the most exceptional upperclassmen from the FDT, with the mission of showcasing their talents at prestigious events for influential donors, university dignitaries, and high-profile figures from beyond the campus. Among the most impressive performances was their appearance at the Texas State Society Black Tie & Boots Ball, an integral part of the 2025 Presidential Inauguration. This event featured not only the sitting and former U.S. presidents but also a host of other prominent Americans, making the Lazarus block's participation a truly historic moment.

In the Spring of 2025, Savage Six was represented on the Corps of Cadets relay team at the Ted Nelson Invitational, hosted by the Texas A&M Track and Field team. 12 programs made the trip to Aggieland for this meet, including Air Force, Georgia, Houston, Northern Colorado, SMU, TCU, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas State, UNLV, UT-Arlington, UTSA and Vanderbilt.
Bella's Buddies
Bella's Buddies
Savage Six is partnered with Bella's Buddies, a nonprofit organization that trains golden retrievers for educational institutions and VA hospitals across the US. The outfit takes an annual trip to the Bella's Buddies facility in Buffalo to help with cleaning, taking care of the dogs, and doing other needed tasks around the place so that they can continue to focus on their mission of changing lives one dog at a time.

Texas Independence Relay & Gladiator Dash
In years past we have had several Savages form a team to run the Texas Independence Relay, a 200-mile competition and fundraiser. This historic run traces the path Sam Houston and the Texian Army took back in 1835-36. On the last run we set several personal records and even had one cadet run a Boston Qualifying Marathon Time! We also ran the Gladiator Dash, another fundraising event consisting of a 5K mud run with several different obstacles. These cadets worked together to complete the course and exemplified our value of teamwork and camaraderie. Our Savages ran hard and proved that the Flying Tigers are the best damn running outfit on the Quad!
