Hi! I'm Elizabeth Bullard, a PhD student in the Biomedical Engineering department. I earned my B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in May 2021. My research involves hyperspectral imaging systems to monitor skin wounds and machine learning to predict proper healing. On the side, Elizabeth enjoys reading, cooking, and educating the younger generations on the beauty of bioengineering.
Howdy! I'm Blanche, a PhD student in Dr. Walsh's lab investigating mitochondrial dynamics in breast cancer cells using autofluorescence imaging. When I'm not working with microscopes and cells, I like hiking with my dog Mozey, cooking, and reading.
“Hi, I am Lakhvir Singh. I am a PhD student (Biomedical Engineering) in Dr. Alex Walsh’s lab. I did my integrated bachelors and masters in Electrical Engineering And Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science Education And Research Bhopal, India. My research during my undergrad involved working on flexible electromechanical sensors and flexible circuits for continuous monitoring of cardiovascular health. Currently, I am working on building optical systems, and signal and image processing techniques for fluorescence based clinical diagnosis. Outside of lab I like writing poetry, and spending quality time with friends and family. “
Hello! I’m Jocelyn Martinez, a PhD student in Dr. Walsh’s Quantitative Optical Imaging Lab. I am currently working on projects pertaining to infrared neural stimulation with the primarily goal of investigating how cellular metabolism is affected with infrared light. I grew up in the small town of Groesbeck, TX and earned my bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering here at Texas A&M University in May of 2021. Outside of the lab, I enjoy spending time with my toddler, reading, and crocheting.
Hello! My name is Melody Yeh and I am an undergraduate student in Dr. Walsh's quantitative optical imaging lab, assisting graduate students and other undergraduate students with their projects. I am a prospective biomedical engineering student and outside of the lab, I enjoy swimming, crocheting, and traveling!
Hello, my name is Amanda Galloway, I am an undergraduate in Dr. Walsh’s quantitative optical imaging lab working with PhD students on their projects while developing my own project. Outside of school, I love to read, listen to music, and spend time with family & friends!
Hello! My name is Nandita (or Nan), and I'm a Ph.D. candidate for Biomedical Engineering in Dr. Gerry Coté's and Dr. Sam Mabbott's labs. I completed my Bachelors' in Computer Engineering from NYU Abu Dhabi, with a minor in Economics. My current research uses optical biosensing to detect cardiovascular biomarkers in low-cost devices, for remote health monitoring. Outside the lab, I enjoy reading, singing, and cooking.
