I officially graduated from Texas A&M in August of 2025. The very next day I started my new faculty orientation for my current job as an assistant professor of Biology at Northwest Missouri State University
I successfully defended my Ph.D. today. I was lucky to be surrounded by my family, friends, and department during my defense, and am thrilled to have completed this milestone in my career.
I was awarded the Outstanding Doctoral Student Award given by the Department of Ecology and Conservation Biology. I also received my Academy of Future Faculty Certificate, and GRAD Aggies Professionl Development Mastery Certificate in Instruction and Assessment this month!
I recently accepted an offer at Northwest Missouri State University, and will be starting as an Assistant Professor of Biology in the Department of Natural Sciences in the Fall!
My most recent submission: "Sexual dimorphism in dispersal traits for the highly invasive Western Mosquitofish" was recently accepted to the Journal of Ichthyology and Herpetology!
I recently traveled to Honolulu HI to present my dissertation work at the National American Fisheries Society Meeting!
