My name is Christopher Chavira, and I am currently a Master of Public Service & Administration (MPA) degree candidate at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. I have focused my studies on public policy analysis, with concentrations in both analytical methods and education policy & management.
This e-Portfolio serves to demonstrate the skills and experiences I have acquired during my tenure at Texas A&M, and to highlight some of my strengths. As I prepare to exit the academic world in May to enter the workforce, I have spent several months reflecting on my coursework, my extracurricular involvement, and my personal growth in the competencies developed by my department. This project has allowed me to make connections between my coursework and personal experiences, consider my time as a team member and team leader, and look back on my how my time at the Bush School has prepared me for the next step in my life: to work with policymakers and organizations alike to ensure that all people can receive a quality education regardless of their race, gender, religion, or other areas of identity.
Ultimately, this e-Portfolio reflects my commitment to public service, my goal of working towards a more equitable future for marginalized groups, my ongoing development of leadership and analytical skills, and my resolve to continue being a lifelong learner.
