This week we will be looking at the features of instructional writing. We would make something and then write a recipe for it. We will learn how we start sentences with an action word and what words should we use precisely to convey our meaning.

Task - Research about the two questions given above. Make your notes and then put your findings into a report. Publish it and make it visible on your blog.

Term 2, week 7

Research the different legends related to Matariki. read these legends and discuss them with your buddy.

Highlight all the clever chunks in the text and then re- write the narrative in your own words. Do not forget to use the clever chunks that you have highlighted in the text.

Please make sure that all Inquiry groups have their work completed. This includes all create tasks

You will be working in groups to make puppets of characters in the story. You will then narrate the stories using puppets.

Term 2, week 4 &5

This week we shall be working on oral language along with writing.

Each one of you will be assigned a group and you will choose a book written by Julia Donaldson.

We will notice the word groups that make the story interesting.

Then we shall be writing the story in our own words, BUT will make sure that we have used the clever word groups in our writing.
