Achievement Standard Physical Education 91501: Demonstrate quality performance of a physical activity in an applied setting. (4 Credits)
This assessment activity requires you to prepare for and participate in a class singles badminton tournament. Badminton is a tactical game that involves a high level of skill and strategy.
Your teacher will observe and assess your performance over a period of time and you will also complete a self-assessment.
You will be assessed on the quality of your badminton performance throughout the term.
AS 3.4 - Badminton Introduction - 2019
Learning Object: By the end of the lesson students will have a deeper understanding around the AS3.4 assessment requirements and due dates.
It is important that students are well aware of the rules as well as the level of skills required in order to be success in this achievement standard.
Once all students are aware of the rules they will be using for the badminton tournament, they can begin developing their skills.
Learning Object: By the end of the lesson students will make a copy of there Badminton Assessment.
It is important that you make sure you Name and Share your assessment with your teacher. Once this is complete after your first performance please see requirements for filling in your booklet correctly.
Self-assessment sheet for Badminton:
For each of the Skill Elements areas Highlight the Game box, this signifies that you demonstrated all of the performance criteria for that grade. You need to write the date in the square (next to “self”) that indicates the day you did your performance in the badminton game.
You must participate in at least 5 sessions and complete a self assessment after each performance. Your teacher will provide feedback by highlighting the box that corresponds to there judgement of your performance they will also put that date of that performance in the square that reads Teacher.
