About Your Teachers

Mr. Sedar

There are a few things you may find Mr. Sedar doing on a daily basis - cycling, video games, drawing, painting, writing.. both before and after getting the dishes done. πŸ˜… His longest bike ride to date is 112 miles, but rides on average 15 - 30 miles a day. Growing up, video games were what made him interested in art and still inspire him today. Mr. Sedar loves to draw and paint characters, food, and video game references, and will occasionally write down his thoughts in a sketchbook. At the heart of all this activity is creativity, which is the driving force for all the fun. 😊

Mrs. Fletcher

Mrs. Fletcher is excited to be back for her 7th year in Tallmadge Schools and cannot wait to see all of her artists again! She loves spending time with, going on walks and watching baseball with her husband Mr. Fletcher, son Keegan and their puppy Betty. Other than teaching and making art Mrs. Fletcher enjoys DIY projects around the house and cooking/baking for her friends and family.

Fun Fact!

Mr. Sedar and Mrs. Fletcher graduated together from the Art Education program at Kent State University in 2013! Here's proof below!

This School Year

This school year is going to look different than others obviously. Mrs. Fletcher's and Mr. Sedar's current plan is to provide an Art Sketchbook/Packet students can complete. Mrs. Fletcher and Mr. Sedar will be visiting each individual classroom to provide Art instruction this year, as the Art rooms will be used as additional classrooms needed to spread students out within T.E.S. This school year, safety has to be the number one priority, and we would like to state that Art instruction will be less hands-on than it has in the past. We will rely on student independence while working as the help we can provide has to be from a distance. Mrs. Fletcher and Mr. Sedar have made it a goal to continue to research and explore ways in which we can keep fun and creativity in our Art curriculum while maintaining safety.
