Meet the Teacher

Meet the Teacher!

For those who were able to come to our Meet the Teacher night, thank you!

If you were not able to attend, please make sure to complete the Parent Information gForm and take some time to familiarize yourself with our 5th Grade Website.

To the left is the One Pager that we shared at Open House with general information about Mrs. Bluey, myself, and our 5th Grade Crew! Below is a video navigating through the 5th grade website. We are very much looking forward to making the 2023-2024 school year AMAZING!

Welcome Email

Welcome to the Bluey/Fudale team and 5th grade!  We are so excited to be working with your students this year and loved meeting so many of you at Meet the Teacher Night yesterday.  This is the first of many emails you will receive this year.  We send out a daily email that recaps our day of learning and provides you with any important information you may need.

Our school day begins at 7:45, but students can enter the building starting at 7:30.  They will remain in the cafeteria until 7:40, when they will be released to the classroom.

Specials/Exploratories begin at 7:50, so we will be giving your child their schedule and helping them get to those after they arrive.  Schedules are available to view on ProgressBook if you’d like to give your child a look ahead of time.  We will help them with this transition for as long as they need to feel comfortable with this new schedule.

Lunch is at 10:20 so feel free to send an afternoon snack if you feel your child will need one. Water bottles are always welcome!

At the end of the day, students will be working towards managing dismissal on their own.  We will be assisting/monitoring until all feel comfortable with this.  At 2:43 bus riders will be dismissed and 2:45 pickups will be released to their specific locations.  Bus placement will be reviewed with the students and we will help them get to the correct location.  Anyone getting picked up will walk to the circle in front of the building and will get into your car when you pull up.  5th graders do not use car tags for pickup.  After school Study Time is available for those that need to wait for their younger siblings to finish up the elementary school day.  Study Time is held in our cafeteria at the end of the day until elementary dismissal.

Here is a list of things that will help your student’s first day back run smoothly:

We can’t wait to get this year started!!  Have a wonderful weekend!
