About
Work-Based Learning (WBL) is a structured component of the Career and Technical Education curriculum that
integrates classroom instruction with productive, progressive, supervised, work-based experiences/apprenticeships (Paid)
and internships (Unpaid), related to students’ career objectives. Content is planned for students through a WBL
arrangement between the school and employer as a component of WBL.
Requirements
Must be at least 16 years old
Must be in the 11th or 12th grades
Must have successfully completed at least one career technical education course
Must be in good academic standing
Must complete the WBL packet and attend an intake meeting
Must have permission from a parent/guardian and an employer
