阮昭雄訪北加州臺灣會館 肯定堅守民主自由及推動文化傳承
僑務委員會副委員長阮昭雄7月23日下午在金山灣區文教中心主任莊雅淑陪同下拜會北加州臺灣會館，與理事長廖俊惠伉儷、陳德輝名譽理事長、葉俊雄前理事長等人會面並進行意見交流。
當天理事長廖俊惠首先帶領阮昭雄參觀北加州臺灣會館，除簡介會館成立宗旨及例行性舉辦的活動，並就承辦臺灣傳統週文化訪問團聖荷西展演、聲援臺灣參加WHA日內瓦宣達團，以及辦理臺灣華語文學習中心，深入舊金山市立圖書館等社教體系，開設Google TCML專班等重大活動成果進行展示。
阮昭雄表示，僑委會未來重點工作包括拓展臺僑在海外主流社會的影響力，向歐美主流社會推展臺灣華語文學習中心，這不僅是推展臺灣華語文教育，也包含了文化交流及自由民主價值的共享；在臺灣的人才培育方面，包括擴大僑生的教育機會，提供頂尖及傑出僑生入學獎學金方案，並且在移民政策上也相對應進行調整，以利招募更多優秀人才到臺灣。
阮昭雄肯定北加州臺灣會館協助政府推動僑務工作發展，及對臺灣鄉親的服務、傳承臺灣文化的努力，以及不遺餘力辦理臺灣華語文學習中心，尤其Google TCML專班成功成為典範。

Experience the vibrant traditions of the Dragon Boat Festival with many exciting activities including zongzi making, zongzi tasting, qigong performance, free traditional Chinese medicine consultation, Taiwanese children's choir and so on.
