Your Tahoma Identity is your Tahoma email address and password.
New employees will receive instructions for activating their account and creating a password.
Our district uses Single Sign On (SSO) for many of our programs.
Activate your account at your earliest convenience. Directions will be sent to your personal email address.
Never share your password.
For programs that use your Tahoma Identity, you’ll sign in with your Tahoma email address (e.g. ksmith@tahomasd.us and your password).
For programs that allow “Sign in with Google” or "Sign in with Microsoft" you can use that option with your Tahoma Identity.
Tahoma staff use Microsoft Outlook for email. You can access your Tahoma email as soon as you activate your Tahoma Identity.

After you've activated your Tahoma Identity, you can access your Tahoma email inbox via Outlook 365 with this link.
Once you receive your staff laptop on August 11, you'll also be able to access email through the desktop client.
Skyward is our student and staff information system. You will use Skyward to:
Find information about your paycheck and other documents such as your W-2, etc.
Take attendance
Manage your gradebook (secondary only)
Submit grades
Submit daily lunch counts (elementary only)
Find and view student critical alerts
See which students have IEPs
Etc.
Your mentor, grade-level lead, or department chair can help you with specifics regarding how Skyward is used by other teachers at your grade level and/or subject area.
Be on the lookout for an email from Melissa Rhymes with your Skyward login information. Once you have your login information, you'll be able to sign into Skyward. NOTE: Your Tahoma Identity will not work for signing into Skyward.

ParentSquare, which we launched in the 2024-25 school year, is our centralized location for sharing messages, calendar events, photos, files, and other updates related to classroom activities and school events.
Teachers use ParentSquare to post announcements and news to their entire class or send direct messages to individual parents or groups.
Users will sign in using the "Sign in with Microsoft" and their Tahoma Identity.

All certificated staff receive a Windows laptop.
All of our classrooms are equipped with an interactive flat panel and document camera as well as a docking station for your laptop that includes an external monitor and wireless keyboard and mouse. You will receive more information regarding classroom technology at the New Teacher Technology Orientation and Training. For specific information about how your grade level and/or department uses technology with students, ask your instructional coach, grade-level lead, department head, or mentor.
In addition, many of our classrooms are equipped with room amplification. Soon all rooms will have this feature.
Attend the New Teacher Technology Orientation and Training day on August 11 from 8:00-3:30 to pick up and set up your laptop and learn more about classroom technology.
K-1 classrooms have 12 student iPads and 1 teacher iPad.
Grade 1 classrooms will become 1:1 this summer. Grade K classrooms will become 1:1 in the fall.
Each 2-5 classroom has a class cart of Chromebooks.
Grade 5 Chromebook carts are refilled each summer/fall after devices go home with students at the end of the year for 6th grade.
Starting in 6th grade, students are 1:1 with take-home Chromebooks. In grades 10-12, students may opt to bring their own device instead.
Students have access to Tahoma's Digital Tools. Most tools are accessed with their Tahoma Identity. If specific sign in information or rostering is required, you will receive that information at the beginning of the year. Teachers should never create accounts for students.

GoTahoma is our name for Google Workspace for Education. All teachers have access to Google's productivity suite (Drive, Docs, Slides, etc.) as well as Google Classroom. Students start using Google tools in second grade.

In Tahoma, we use Microsoft Teams as our phone, virtual meeting, and internal chat solution. Teams is not used as a learning management system. Students do not access Teams.

Seesaw is an all-in-one digital portfolio tool available to K-5 teachers and students. Use Seesaw with students for instruction, as a digital portfolio, for differentiation and more!
Seesaw is available on iPads and Chromebooks.

SchoolData.net tools are a comprehensive suite of web-based applications designed to streamline administrative and educational tasks for teachers.
