What you need to know

• Medical, Vision, and Dental Plans are all handled through the School Employee Benefits Board, part of the Washington State Health Care Authority.  

• The SEBB Enrollment Guide includes a quickstart guide, an enrollment checklist, and important information about enrolling in SEBB.

• This  Benefits Orientation walks you through all you need to know about your SEBB benefits in Tahoma.

• You have 31 days to log onto the Benefits 24/7 website to waive or elect medical benefits. Vision and dental insurance are mandatory, so you'll need to select a plan.

• Employer-paid long-term disability insurance is provided through SEBB.  In addition, you will be automatically enrolled in employee-paid LTD insurance unless you waive coverage. Learn more information, visit  the LTD insurance page on the SEBB website and see the Standard Insurance Company information for SEBB participants.

• Read about life insurance on SEBB's life insurance page. Additional life insurance may be purchased through Metlife life insurance for school employees (optional).

What you need to do

• Look for an email from the Benefits Specialist and enroll in or waive medical benefits  within 31 days.

Care Solace  is a 24/7/365 Mental Health and Social Service Care Coordinator for Tahoma School Districts students, staff, and families.

Our Tahoma Staff Wellness website provides access to free fitness classes and links to community resources and wellness supports. You will be able to log in once you have your Tahoma Identity.
