Fall Future Ready Day (FRD) is Friday, October 25. This is a "green" day, which means students will not attend any of their regular blue or gold day classes. School starts at 7:40 and ends at 12:40, with lunch from 12:05-12:40. Attendance will be taken, just like on a regular day and students will complete assignments that will be turned in to their English or social studies teacher. For students who are ill that day, parents should excuse the absence just like they would for any other school day. Students who are absent need to stop by the Future Ready Center the following week for make-up work.
Running Start students with college classes should attend classes at their college and will not be marked absent. PSSC students do not need to participate in Future Ready Day. They can come to school late when the PSSC bus arrives for pick up. Students who ride the bus to school in the morning, can wait in a study hall until it is time to go to PSSC. Any Running Start or PSSC students who wish to participate for part or all of the day can get signed up by going to the Future Ready Center.
Breakfast and lunch will be served at the normal times, although some students who go on field trips may return to campus toward the end of lunch.
