Human Rights Advocacy

Promoting Human Rights Via Education

Human rights is a universal belief. As educators, we believe that it is valuable and beneficial for students to learn and carry out the true value of human rights.

The students wrote postcards to the family of the case to show their support.

Our teacher introduced the background of each case students are going to advocate, including the injustice incident the case had suffered, geopolitical situation of the background.

What We Do

Every December, we follow the guidelines provided by Amnesty International Taiwan to start an activity by writing letters to support the victims oppressed by injustice treatment.

By introducing the background of the case, students can gain more understanding and knowledge about what happened to the victim case, his/ her government, and the history and geopolitical relation of the world. In addition, by writing supporting letters and petitions, the students can show their mutual understanding toward not only these victim cases but others around the world. Meanwhile, students can gain the core values of human rights.

Impact

Students learn from each other.

Students learn about the history and geopolitical situation of the victim case and his/ her country.

Sharing the core value of human rights with the students, communities, and others worldwide.
