Period 6  Designing Digital Portfolios with Book Creator

Join us for the 'Creating Digital Portfolios with Book Creator for Teachers' workshop, where we'll dive into making learning visible and accessible for all students.  Digital portfolios promote engagement, reflection, and a deeper understanding of their learning experiences. We'll discuss how you can incorporate accessibility features like text-to-speech, alt text for images, and captioning for videos to ensure every student can navigate and enjoy their digital portfolio. Plus, we'll chat about strategies for using these portfolios as a means for assessment and to celebrate student growth. Explore strategies for integrating this digital tool into the curriculum, encouraging students to document, reflect on, and showcase their work in a meaningful way.

A TAC Talk presentation is led by an educator who has volunteered to share knowledge, such as a technological application or pedagogical technique.  The facilitator will often prepare a presentation in advance and will illustrate its purpose and utility in the classroom to a small  group of participants.

A TAC Walk is a brief classroom visit involving one or several teachers visiting another teacher’s classroom with the greater goal of improving student achievement.  This is not evaluative, but rather a desire on the part of the educator to be introspective, reflective, and collaborative to continue to grow professionally.
