In Vietnam, the Moon Festival is a very special day for children. Kids carry lanterns shaped like stars or animals, join parades, eat mooncakes, and enjoy lion dances. Families also give gifts to children.
In South Korea, the Moon Festival is called Chuseok. People travel to their hometowns, have big family meals, honor ancestors, and eat half-moon rice cakes. Some wear hanbok and play folk games like circle dances or wrestling.

Kendama 劍玉 - In Japan, it's a wooden toy with a ball on a string. You catch the ball in a cup or on a spike.
In the U.S., many kids love flying kites (風箏) in parks and open fields.
In Colombia, children play jacks (抓子遊戲)". You throw a ball, pick up small pieces of jack, and catch the ball before it bounces twice.
Children in India play lattc(陀螺). A spinning top that kids spin with a string! It takes skill to keep it going!
In Mexico, kids like to play marbles called “canicas 彈珠遊戲)". They flick the marbles with fingers to hit other marbles out of a circle.
In Taiwan, we can find pinball (彈珠臺) at night market. You flick marbles into slots to score points! It's fun!

In Colombia, people love soccer—fútbol. It’s a huge part of Colombian's culture. Everyone, from young kids to adults, gets excited when they play, especially during the World Cup! Colombians play soccer in parks, on the streets, and in schools.
In the U.S., one of the biggest sports is American football. It’s a bit different from what you know as soccer. American football is very physical, and they have a huge event called the Super Bowl, which is like the World Cup for American football!
In Taiwan, baseball is one of the most popular sports. And, it's great we won the Baseball Championship 2024. Hurray!
In the USA a long time ago Halloween was called “All Hallow Eve.” For All Hallows Eve people would put on costumes and light fires to scare away bad ghosts.
Now, Halloween is a holiday where you can put on costumes and meet your neighbors through trick-or-treating.
