Music Tuition 2020
St Clare’s College offers tuition for the following instruments: Piano, singing, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, drum kit, flute, oboe, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone horn, euphonium, tuba, violin and cello. Individual lessons are available during school hours on a rotating timetable. Students will receive one half-hour lesson per week, with eight lessons each term. Hour long lessons are also available upon request. The costs of the various options are as follows: Individual Lessons 30 minutes (8 per term)- $40 per lesson/$320 per termIndividual Lessons 60 minutes(8 per term) - $80 per lesson/$640 per term
Beginner Program - Year 7 & 8 onlySmall group tuition is available to students in Years 7 and 8 who would like to start learning an instrument. This program is aimed at beginners and therefore is not suitable for more advanced students. Group tuition is available for all instruments but is subject to availability (three students per group). If a group can not be formed, students will be offered individual lessons. The cost of participating in the program is as follows: Group Lessons 30 minutes (8 per term) - $15 per lesson/$120 per term*Subject to availabilityInstrument hire/purchase - Students must provide their own instrument. It is possible to organise for the hire of an instrument from an external provider or to loan some instruments from the College. Please indicate on the form below if you would like to hire an instrument. The school has a limited number of the following instruments available for hire: flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone horn, cello. The cost of hire is $100 per year payable to the College. Where an instrument is lost or damaged while on hire to a student, the student’s parents/carers will be responsible for replacement or repair.
