HINTS AND TIPS

1. Nothing will help if you don't read the questions carefully.

2. It's the expression of ideas that is protected by copyright, NOT the ideas themselves . Ideas are NOT protected by copyright.

3. The work of musicians, designers and songwriters are their INTELLECTUAL property.

4. Copyright is FREE and it DOESN'T need to be registered or to have the Copyright symbol on it.

5. You MUST acknowledge all material (information, pictures, ideas, data, etc) that comes from other people, even if it is collected verbally (ie. in an interview). You DON'T have to acknowledge your own original ideas, thoughts, work, experimental results, or information that is common knowledge (eg. the sun rises in the east and sets in the north).

6. It's COLLUSION when someone else adds to or changes your work with your knowledge before submission. Collusion is bad - co-operative and collaborative learning are both good!

7. Make sure you know what can be copied by students without permission.

*  Students who are ONLY doing Life Skills subjects are the only exception
