In the Hitomi Cup, students demonstrate English public speaking skills through in-depth exploration of a topic, delivering speeches of 5 minutes or less. Each year, we receive applications from students from various universities. After a rigorous selection process, approximately 15 applicants advance to the finals, which are impartially judged by a panel of professors from outside of Showa Women's University. With no required speech theme, applicants have maximum scope to apply logical thought, insight, and creativity to a topic of their choice. The quality of speeches is consistently high, with varied and engaging subjects of global significance, such as society, culture, education, and politics.

人見杯は、5分以内のスピーチを通して、グローバルに活躍できる英語力およびテーマを掘り下げ考察することで論理的思考を身につけることを目的に開催しています。毎年、日本各地から多くの応募があります。厳正な選考を通過した約15名が本選に進出し、昭和女子大学以外の教授陣による公平な審査が行われます。スピーチのテーマは自由で、論理的思考力、洞察力、創造力を最大限に発揮することができます。スピーチの質は常に高く、社会、文化、教育、政治など、世界的に意義のある多様で魅力的なテーマを取り上げています。
