  • Complete writing reports for students already tested

  • Reschedule Meetings as necessary

  • Complete social history evaluations via phone

  • Continue working on IEPs

  • Input progress monitoring

  • Review NJSLA and DLM students on caseload for accuracy and appropriate accommodations

Expectations

  • Cross check IEPDirect and SEMI for frequency and duration of services

  • Input information into shared Google Sheet of anticipation of services missed

  • Plan to increase frequency of sessions and/or provide compensatory sessions as applicable

  • Email parents (or provide packets) suggested activities to maintain skills


School Nurses


Expectations

  • Prepare for all essential medication to be given back to parents for home-use if necessary

  • Be available via email for any consultations or questions

  • Contact parents of students who take medication to determine if medication is needed for home


Special Education Teachers


Expectations

  • Continue with the platform used by your school to disseminate lessons, information, and assignments

  • Continue using differentiated assignments

  • Provide modified and broken down directions to families

  • Provide supports to parents and students as needed

Guidance Counselors

Expectations

  • Enter PNP information into Pearson

  • Generate a list and schedule for student/parent contacts to check in with your regular counseling students (option to use Google Meets for virtual chats)

  • Further develop websites with parent resources for supporting students with social-emotional needs, peer relationships, and other mental health awareness resources.

  • Begin to create additional sections on websites that can be used by students & families in regards to understanding various cultures and backgrounds. With empathy being one of the most important qualities we can try and instill in the students, more exposure to other families’ traditions, holidays, languages, etc. can allow students to have more knowledge and therefore be more open-minded when communicating and collaborating with students whose cultures are different from their own.
