I am excited to be able to share in the celebration of your child’s birthday in school! Please take the time to review our class birthday policies below.
In our class we will be celebrating with a Birthday Book and not a birthday snack.
With our Birthday Book Program, your child will “TREAT” the classroom to a book on his/her birthday.
If you would like to participate, please purchase a new picture book, or choose a gently used one from home, wrap it and send it to school with your child on his/her birthday!!
The birthday student will unwrap the book in front of the class, we will read it together and then it will go into a special "birthday book box" for the students to enjoy throughout the year! On the inside cover please write your child’s name and birthday so that students know who donated the book to our class. You can also write a message to the class! This is a wonderful way to promote reading as we celebrate our birthdays!
Celebrating in class: Every student in our class will have their birthday celebrated during the school year. *Summer birthdays will be given an “unbirthday” date to celebrate at the end of the year.*
On your child’s birthday the class will sing and the birthday boy or girl will receive a birthday crown, sticker and pencil. Your child is also welcome to bring in a "show and tell" on their birthday.
Invitations: In order to avoid any hurt feelings, we keep birthday invitations out of the classroom unless you wish to invite the whole class. I appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
