My name is Dan Owen and this is my 8th year teaching 6th grade at the Walter Hill School. Prior to this I student taught in the Harker School in 5th grade for a year. I was born and raised in Clarksboro, NJ. I attended Kingsway High School and graduated from Rowan University with my BA in Elementary Education with specialized certifications in Math and Science. I have a passion for teaching and will always have your child's best interest at heart. As I have told my student's, I know where they've been, I know where they are now, and I know where they will be.
I am recently married to my lovely wife Marissa, who happens to be a teacher as well! We have two dogs named Lady and Livvy who are the best. But hands down, the most important introduction goes to Gerald, my class llama! Him and I go everywhere together, and I mean EVERYWHERE! Road trips across the country, across the ponds to Europe, and even my own wedding, Gerald is always been by my side. He is a beacon of light in my classroom and is here to provide positivity and good vibes to all who enter!
