About me

Originally from Ontario, Canada, I moved to Minnesota in 1996 after graduating from college and one year of teaching overseas at an international school. Starting out in 1st grade (5 years),  I have also taught in a special education setting (4 years), in ECFE as a parent educator (4 years), in 5th- 8th grade (4 years), in 4th grade at SWS (2 years).  I'm excited to be teaching 5th ELA (English/Language Arts), 6th Social Studies and 7th English this year, and look forward to sharing my passion for reading and writing with my students. I have four children: Daniel (20), Ryan (18), Andrew (16), and Liam (14) and we have a dog, Noah.
