About me

Originally from Ontario, Canada, I moved to Minnesota in 1996 after graduating from college and one year of teaching overseas at an international school. Starting in 1st grade (5 years),  I have also taught in a special education setting (4 years), in ECFE as a parent educator (4 years), in 5th- 8th grade (4 years), in 4th grade at SWS (2 years), and Middle School ELA and History (3 years). I'm excited to teach ELA (English/Language Arts) and MN History again this year, and I look forward to sharing my passion for reading and writing with my students. I have four children: Daniel (22), Ryan (20), Andrew (18), and Liam (16), and we have a dog, Noah. In my free time, I love to travel, read, hike, watch sports like football and basketball, and spend time with my family.
