GRADE 6 - Prepare to Lead
OBJECTIVES
Introduction of CORE leadership values
Communication and Team work skill development
Personal management skills (time, resource, health, fun and family)
Building Strategic Plans to Succeed and Build Confidence
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE & WHAT WILL WE DO?
Grade 6 students can be a part of our leadership development program from any SWLSB Elementary School.
Students will participate in our Secondary Student Leadership meetings online on Wednesday evenings.
Student leaders will work on a team with mentors.
Student leaders will begin to work on leadership initiatives that are a part of the SWLSB Secondary Student Leadership Certificate program in preparation for high school.
There is no cost to participate. Learning Experiences (field trips) may have fees related to transportation.

Wednesday evening team training sessions on ZOOM: April 2 - May 7. 19:00-20:00
Student Leaders will have opportunities to participate in the following Learning Experiences:
March - October : Plant Growing Competition
April 9 - Tedx Youth @ Laval - Laval Senior Academy
April 14 - NextGen Assembly of Leaders - SWLSB Head Office - Rosemere
April - June - Raise Craze at their school
May 12 - Model The Way Honours - Cineplex Laval
