We've reached the final nine weeks of the school year! Time is flying, and we're excited to make these last weeks productive and memorable for our students.
This nine weeks, our Character Counts spotlight is on decision-making. We'll be focusing on helping students understand the importance of making thoughtful and responsible choices. We'll discuss how to consider the consequences of actions, weigh options, and learn from both positive and negative outcomes. We encourage you to reinforce these lessons at home by discussing decision-making scenarios with your child and encouraging them to think critically about their choices.
Students in grades 3-6 will be taking the Indiana Learning Evaluation Assessment Readiness Network (ILEARN) assessments the week of April 14th. These assessments are designed to measure student learning and progress in various subjects. We understand that standardized tests can sometimes cause anxiety, and we're committed to providing a supportive and encouraging environment for our students. We will be reviewing test-taking strategies and providing practice opportunities in class. Please ensure your child gets plenty of rest and a nutritious breakfast during the testing period.
We are thrilled to announce that our annual Awards Day will be held on Tuesday, May 20th. We will hold our annual Kindergarten and Sixth Grade celebrations on this day as well. This special day is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the achievements of our students throughout the year. We will be honoring students for academic excellence, character development, and other significant accomplishments. Further details regarding the time and location of the awards ceremony will be sent out in the coming weeks.
If you haven't already, make sure to register for our Literacy Picnic Day on April 25th! This day is shaping up to be an amazingly fun filled afternoon!
Each student will receive a FREE book.
DonutNV will be on site to sell their deliciously fresh donuts.
Shop at the Book Fair before or after your picnic lunch.
