Reachbots Omdena
In this project we completed computer vision for a welding machine for Reachbots Automation, a deep-tech startup in Singapore, in which we created a multiple of models that are retrainable which allow high precision finding of flaws in welds. I am not going to release any data or source code, but we found an algorithm which had high accuracy, as well as laser profile detection to detect any kind of welding flaws.
Here is the corporations website:
Reachbots Automation designs and manufactures ultra-mobile, modular robots fully capable of negotiating obstacles in hard-to-access, or even inaccessible complex, confined spaces and heights to perform mission critical tasks (e.g. inspection, cleaning, welding) while the worker monitors it from a safe location. With our Robotics and AI, we aim to double productivity at half the cost for our customers, and improve overall safety of the operation. Our core competencies lie in ground up design and development of modular autonomous mobile robotics (AMR) of both ground based systems and climbing robot systems. Our modular and reconfigurable designs enable multiple applications to be performed, providing an end-to-end solution for our customers.Reachbots is a spin-off from the National University of Singapore (NUS), and is part of the NUS Graduate Research Innovation Programme (GRIP).
