Students start with theory in class that ranges form basic electrical to bare maintenance on machines, then more to implementation in a shop setting.
With hands-on before students operate the machines it brings a visual aid which amplifies key areas a welder must know.
Field trips increase as they progress in the program starting with a couple there first year and then up to 5-7 there third year all related to Welding and Fabrication.

We have the luxury of working with the Art Center located in National City. Students will learn how to work in an shop setting off campus. This internship is a required step in completing the Welding Academy successfully. This gives the students experience in team building to complete a project.
