Your student is eligible for an IS contract if they will be absent no less than 5 days and a maximum of 15 days. Please email us at RDM Attendance in order to request a contract. We require at least 1 week in advance notice before the contract is scheduled to begin. Contracts are not granted the week of finals, unless approved by Admin. Students are expected to be present for their finals.
WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANY I.S. CONTRACT REQUESTS DUIRNG EOC FINALS
The following is a guide to be used in case parents need assistance collecting assignments for students who have excused absences.
• 1-5 day absence – Student or parent contacts teacher for missing assignments Via Email or Jupiter and clear absences via Google form
• 5-15 day absences – Contact the Attendance office for a short term Independent Study Contract at : RDMAttendance@sweetwaterschools.org
• More than 15 days absent – Contact the Assistant Principals’ Secretary for further assistance at (619)397-2507.
