Independent Study Contract

Independent Study Attendance Contracts will not be issued until August 7, 2024.  If your son/daughter will be absent before then, please submit this absence to: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd8QUnYuZwGh8L4zA7uWRqOkA4juZOOPfVMSo3hDpuoQQPkdQ/viewform

If the absence will begin after August 7th, please contact Richard Barr 5 days before the first day absent to complete the contract.

Your student is eligible for an Independent Study Contract if they will be absent no less than 5 days and a maximum of 15 days.  

Please contact the Attendance Coordinator, Mr. Barr at Richard.Barr@sweetwaterschools.org to request / obtain a contract. We require at least 1 week in advance notice before the absence is scheduled to begin. The student is responsible for completing their school work assigned by the teacher while they are gone.  The student must check in with the Attendance Coordinator upon return from their absence.

Agreements are not granted the week of finals, unless approved by an assistant principal. Students are expected to be present for their finals.

Students who are on an Independent Study Contract are expected to have all assigned work completed and ready to submit upon return.
