Kevin Thompson
Coach Thompson grew up in Columbus, playing 4 years of high school soccer at Westerville North HS and playing 8 years of club soccer in Westerville. He went on to play 3 years of club soccer at Eastern Michigan University. Coach Thompson spent 5 years building a soccer program at Sweetwater Middle School in Atlanta, GA before returning to the Columbus area. The 2026 season will be Coach Thompson's 6th year coaching at Westland HS.

Ruben Garcia
Coach Garcia grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and has been a part of the local soccer community his entire life. He graduated from Westland High School in 2015, where he played all four years on the boys’ soccer team. In addition to high school play, Coach Garcia competed at a level with Crew Academy and later played in the UPSL (United Premier Soccer League), gaining experience in competitive development environments. He’s passionate about the game, giving back to the community, and helping the next generation of student-athletes grow both on and off the field.
