Overview
Ready to master the basics of App Design? In this quarter-long course, you are going to have to get creative! You get to design an app from scratch using Keynote. At the end of the quarter, you will be presenting your app/pitching it. Your job is to make your app the best out of them all! Winners from our class will go on to compete in our District-wide app showcase. Stay up to date on when the showcase will be!
Supplies for Class
The students will be using iPads for the course. Throughout the course, students will be using the iPad for Swift programming, their coding journal and more. All supplies will be provided within the classroom. Students are expected to follow iPad rules and guidelines.
Grading:
Mini Pitch Presentations/Check-Ins
10 -20 points periodically throughout the quarter
App Prototype
100 points -Will be entered at the end of quarter upon completion of App.
Overview
Ready to master the basics of code? In this quarter-long course, students will explore the fundamentals of Swift, the programming language used to create apps for Apple products. By solving puzzles in a dynamic 3D puzzle world, students will develop a set of coding skills to build up their basic programming vocabulary. Their coding journey begins with simple commands, functions, and loops. From the start, they’ll write real code, the same code used by real programmers.

10 points periodically throughout the quarter
Completion of Learn to Code 1/Overall Coding Skills
50 points - Will be entered at the end of quarter upon completion of Learn to Code 1. Will be evaluated over coding skills.
