2025-2026 Decode
Team 21333, The RoboKnights had a great experience at the Illinois FTC State Championships. They were in the Solomon division and after a Friday night of inspections and judging, they moved on to Saturday and qualification matches. The team went 4-3 in their qualification matches and also earned enough ranking points to be the 8th seed, going into alliance selection.
We were chosen by Team 30686 Electrolights to join them on alliance number 4. After a win over alliance 5, we faced off with alliance 1 and lost, moving us to the lower bracket. There we posted wins over alliance 6 and alliance 3, before again meeting up with alliance 1 and losing a close match. We ended our day 3rd place in our division.
When all of the advancement points were tabulated, we ended up 15th out of the 48 teams there. This will get us an invite to a premiere event this summer.
Team 21333, The RoboKnights, earned the amazing opportunity to represent Illinois on the national stage! We were the one and only team from Illinois who traveled to Washington DC and faced off against 49 other teams, one from each state!
Match 1: We teamed up with Michigan and beat Alabama and Arizona.
Match 2: We teamed up with Colorado and beat Texas and New York.
Match 3: We teamed up with Pennsylvania and beat Rhode Island and California.
Match 4: We were matched up with Nebraska and lost to Massachusas and Idaho.
Match 5: We were matched up with Nevada and lost to Oklahoma and Georgia.
We ended the qualification matches as the 7th ranked team, became the captain of the 5th alliance, and picked Oregon as our partners. We lost playoff match 1 to Michign and New Jersey and then won playoff match 2 against Tennessee and Washington and then lost our final playoff match against Minnisota and Kentucky.
It was an amazing experience for us all!
Team 26980, RoboKnights Reloaded ended up ranked 11th after qualification matches. We were selected by 19168 TOTUS 1 TUUS to be a part of alliance number 5. We upset alliance number 4 in the first round, then lost to alliance number 1. In the lower bracket we then beat alliance number 6, but then ended our day losing to alliance number 3. We ended the tournament in 3rd place. We also won the Connect Award at this qualifier. We ended up tied for 7th and missed out on advancing to state by a tiebreaker!
Team 21333, The RoboKnights, ended up ranked 4th after qualification matches. We were selected by 27111 St. Francis Robotics to make the number 2 alliance. We beat the number 3 alliance to stay in the upper bracket and then lost to the number 1 alliance. We dropped to the lower bracket, where we met and beat the number 3 alliance again, which moved us to the championship match, where we lost to the number 1 alliance again. We ended the tournament in 2nd place. We also won the Sustain Award at this qualifier. We ended up 3rd in advancement points and advanced to the state tournament!
Team 26980, RoboKnights Reloaded, went 3-2-0 on the day and secured the number 7 seed for the conference tournament. The team had a consistent autonomous and were high scoring in the teleop periods. The two losses occurred because of some mental errors which lead to penalty points.
Team 21333, The RoboKnights, were plagued by inconsistency for the entire day and also had some costly mental errors. That being said, they overcame these and still ended up 4-1-0 on the day, which was good enough to secure the number 1 seed going into the conference tournament.
Team 26980, RoboKnights Reloaded, went 3-2-0 for the event and ended up ranked 2nd! Their robot was improved over last meet with a much better intake, which led to quicker scoring. They now have 29 ranking points on the season and sit at 6th in the Chicago Suburban South League.
Team 21333, RoboKnights, went 5-0-0 for the day and ended up ranked number 1! They were the fastest and strongest robot at the meet and scored over 100 points in every match. The now have 45 ranking points for the season which put them in a commanding lead of the Chicago Suburban South League!
Team 26980, RoboKnights Reloaded, went 3-2-0 for the event and ended up ranked 4th. They were a consistent robot, scoring 3-4 artifacts in auto and and then around 10 in teleop. They earned 14 ranking points and are currently ranked 7th in the Chicago Suburban South League.
Team 21333, RoboKnights, went 5-0-0 for the day and ended up ranked number 1! They were the strongest robot at the meet, scoring over 5 artifacts in auto and then 15 during teleop. They earned 23 ranking points and are currently ranked 1st in the Chicago Suburban South League.
2024-2025 Into The Deep
Team 26980 RoboKnights Reloaded competed in their first ever event and went 1-4 in five competitive matches, earning their first win in program history! They were able to score a sample in the low basket and then park during autonomous, making them the only rookie team at the event with multiple scoring auto. They ended the day with a highly competitive match, scoring 103 points!
Team 21333 The RoboKnights had a banner day. The team ended with a perfect 5-0-0 record on the day, are currently ranked number 1 in the conference (out of 27 teams) and scored 164 points in one of their matches today, which is the highest score so far this season in the entire state. The RoboKnights had the best autonomous scoring at the meet, scoring 24 points every match and are currently ranked number 1 in the state and number 19 in the nation as far as auto scoring!
Team 26980 RoboKnights Reloaded competed in only their second meet of all time and went 3-2 in five competitive matches. This shows great improvement over the first meet! They increased their autonomous to scoring 2 samples in the low basket and parking. They had a fun match with RoboKnights 21333 as their partners where they scored the event high score of 175!
Team 21333 The RoboKnights had another great day! The team ended with a record of 4-1-1 and are currently ranked number 1 in the conference and number 2 in the area. The RoboKnights improved their already best in the state autonomous to scoring 32 points! They were able to team up with the RoboKnights Reloaded 26980 to score the event high score of 175.
Team 26980 RoboKnights Reloaded finished up the regular season with a 2-2-1 record at South Suburbs Meet 3 at BBCHS. They continued to show improvement in tele-op and also showed resilience as their auto code was not working for this meet, but they still ended up with 2 wins and a tie.
Team 21333 RoboKnights finished the regular season with a 3-2 record at South Suburbs Meet 3 at BBCHS. Both losses were close matches against strong opponents. The RoboKnights and Ironclad paired up for a great match and scored 206 points, the high score for both the event and league so far this season. After the lowest 5 scores were dropped, the RoboKnights head into the State Qualifier with a 10-0-0 record and the number 1 seed out of 27 teams.
Team 26980 RoboKnights Reloaded ended their season with some very competitive matches! Every match they played faced off against a team who ended up being in the playoffs. Although they did not record a win on the day, they had two matches that were within less than 5 points. They also scored their season best of 7 samples in the high basket during a match. This team showed great improvement over the season!
Team 21333 RoboKnights has a GREAT DAY! They ended qualification matches with a record of 4-1, with their only loss being by 7 points. They earned the number 2 seed and were picked by the number 1 seed, TOTUS 1 TUUS, and together these two powerhouse teams walked through the playoff bracket. This alliance scored 265 points twice in the playoffs, which is a new high score for the season! The RoboKnights have now earned a berth to the state championships!
Team 21333 RoboKnights qualified for state by being the winning alliance at the South Suburbs Meet. This is the first state trip for us in our short 3 year existence! We went 3-2 in qualification matches, running into some trouble with our grabber in the middle matches. We were sitting in 9th place as alliance selection started and ended up moving up to the captains of the number 6 alliance. The competition proved to be too much and we were eliminated after 2 playoff matches. We learned a lot and will take our lessons with us as we look to make a repeat trip to state next year!
2023-2024 Centerstage
Our robot performed wonderfully at our first meet, scoring the majority of the points for our alliance in the first 4 close matches and then finally winning the last match of the day.
We hosted our first meet ever! We went 3-3 on the day and were a very strong robot. One of our losses was by 1 point and another by less than 5. Overall is was a good meet.
Our robot performed wonderfully, with our alliance scoring over 100 points in 3 of our matches! We scored our maximum in most autonomous periods and suspended from the rigging in all matches! We ended up 3-3 on the day.
At the state qualifier, we advanced to the semifinals, where we were narrowly defeated by the eventual tournament champions. We also won two awards. The Connect Award - given to the team who most connects with their local STEM community, and the Motivate Award - given to the team who makes the best effort to make FIRST robotics known throughout their school and community.
2022-2023 Powerplay
Our first meet ever, we struggled and first, but finally got our first win in the our final match, we were 1-4 on the day.
We went 3-2 on the day and scored a 125 in the final match, which was our high score at the time.
We went 4-1 on the day and scored a 153 in the final match which was the high raw score of the meet!
Our conference championship meet, we went 4-1 on the day and were also given the Top Rookie Award for the conference.
