The Bastrop County SWCD is a local unit of government established under state law to carry out conservation programs at the local level. Our District works with Bastrop County landowners to help them manage and protect land and water resources. The Bastrop County SWCD covers over 574,000 acres with farm and ranch land totaling 339,689 (according to the USDA 2017 Census of Agriculture Bastrop County profile). We are partners with you in conservation of our natural resources. All conservation programs are voluntary.
