Curriculum statement

History allows you to gain both a broader and deeper understanding of key aspects of the world in which we live.

It also develops transferable skills of critical analysis, evaluation and argument that are highly regarded by universities and employers alike. Indeed, it complements other subjects very well through being a bridge to the arts and sciences.

In connecting with past societies and people, History encourages students to spot social injustices and thereby make them more rounded and empathetic individuals.
